Interesting ad...

I've been meaning to mention this earlier, but it's always slipped my mind...

I've seen this advertisement for Deccan Chronicle newspaper (which has grown at a phenomenal rate of 30% p.a. in Tamil Nadu the last two years) on quite a few hoardings around the city of late.

Hot Deccan Chronicle ad

Does it really mean to communicate what I think it does, or do I just have a dirty mind?

I'm young, I'm young!

And yeah, I agree an increasing number of ads are going this way of late... but, if that means more pics of PYTs on our roads, I'm not complaining :)

I think this ad has served its purpose,or else you wouldn't have come up with a post on it.

Very valid point, Nirmal :)

In the off chance that in the future, I'll be paid for putting up pictures of hot women on my blog :)

oops i wrote the above thing for wrong write up.. but about this one...
why dont you look at the adv point of view.. the msg is conveyed.. and u got so influnced and put it on blog.. hope its affected many others also..

I agree completely... that's why the ad works! However much one might debate the moral/ethical point of view of reducing ads to pictures of hot women, that's what helps garner eyeballs!

The hypocrisies in Indian society never seems to amaze me. It's ok for the chic on the billboard to wearing what she is...but if the same walked down the street...'whore' is what they think n say. puleeeseee.

haha and yes i think *that's* what they meant.
